How a barrier saves a life

Three tenths of a second, engineered.

1. Impact

A vehicle leaves its lane. EN 1317 defines the test vehicle, speed and impact angle for each containment level — N2, H1, H2, H4b.

2. Containment

The W-beam and posts deform to absorb the energy. Their maximum sideways movement is the working width — W4, or 1.3 m, for SSA 2.00.

3. Redirection

The vehicle is guided back along the rail, while impact severity class A or B limits the forces on the people inside.

Sarir Sanate Amir Holding

From a steel service centre to a road-safety manufacturer.

We started in 2005 as Amir Cutting Services, cutting and supplying steel for Iran’s market. Customer trust grew the business into open steel profiles and coverage sheets, and in 2010 it was registered as Sarir Sanate Amir (No. 42153).

Today the holding includes Sepehr Sanat Steela, producing highway guardrails and traffic signs to Iranian and European standards, certified to ISO 9001:2015, and exporting to Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and the CIS.

FAQ

Guardrail questions, answered.

Short, factual answers about our systems and the standards behind them. For project-specific advice, our engineers reply within one business day.

A W-beam guardrail is a steel road restraint system made of a corrugated “W”-profile rail bolted through spacers to steel posts. On impact the rail and posts deform to absorb energy and redirect the vehicle back towards the road.

Our 18 EN 1317 systems cover normal containment N2 and higher containment H1, H2 and H4b. Roadside ESP systems are N2, EDSP systems H1–H2, DDSP median systems H1–H2, and Super Rail systems H2 up to H4b.

Working width (W1 to W8 in EN 1317) is the maximum lateral distance the barrier occupies during a crash test. It tells designers how much free space is needed behind the barrier — for example W4 (1.3 m) for SSA 2.00.

Yes. Beams, posts, spacers and accessories are hot-dip galvanized for long-term corrosion protection outdoors.

Our road restraint systems are tested to the European standard EN 1317, the Persian Guardrail is produced to Iran’s national standard ISIRI 21208, and our quality management is certified to ISO 9001:2015. Steel grades are S235JR and S355JR to EN 10025.

Yes. We supply Iran and export to Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and CIS countries including Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Georgia.
